Marc Ruzicka

Dr. Marc Ruzicka received his PhD in “Supply Chain Management” from Arizona State University where he published the seminal research on the strategic use of Electronic Reverse Auctions and other E-Procurement Tools.

After years of designing and optimizing robust, global Supply Chains with corporations that have included Ford Motor Company and General Dynamics, Marc is now focusing on elevating the strategic effectiveness of the Indirect Procurement categories at Farmers Insurance.  Current, global initiatives include driving the performance of Contingent Workforce Management (CWM) through people, processes, and technology to mitigate risk and provide cost-effective/flexible talent levels to meet Farmers’ future business needs. Marc has earned the Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) certification, the Certification in Production & Inventory Management (CPIM), and is a practicing Yellow Belt.  He received a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University, majoring in Materials & Logistics Management, and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
 
In his free time, Marc volunteers to provide solutions to the Supply Chain challenges of non-profit organizations.
